What We Believe

We believe the Tenants of Faith and Doctrine to be an accurate summary of what Scripture teaches.

Tenants of Faith & Doctrine

The following are the core beliefs of Kingdom of God Empowerment Center based on the foundational truths taught in the bible. All of our teaching and ministry is rooted in and flows out of these biblical doctrines.

The Bible Inspired

The Bible Inspired. The Scriptures, both Old and New Testaments, are the inspired and infallible revelation of God to man and the authority of faith and conduct. Kingdom of God Empowerment Center, Inc. (known as “the church”) accepts the Bible as the revealed will of God, as the all-sufficient rule of faith and standard for daily living. (2 Timothy 3:15-17; 1 Thessalonians 2:13, 2 Peter 1:21).

The One True Godhead

The one true God has revealed Himself as the "I Am," the Creator and Redeemer of mankind. God is all-knowing, all-powerful, and all-present. He is unconditionally loving, relentlessly merciful, and absolutely just. The triune Godhead is comprised of three (3) separate and distinct personalities, The Father, The Son, and The Holy Spirit, who are eternally self-existent, self-revealed and function as one entity. Jesus Christ, who is God manifested in the flesh, is the second member of the Godhead, co-equal and co-eternal with The Father and The Holy Spirit. (Isaiah 43:10,11; Genesis 1:1; Ephesians 4:5-6).

The Deity of Jesus

We believe the Lord Jesus Christ is eternal Son of God; fully human and fully God. Jesus was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, performed miracles, died a substitutionary death on the cross, rose from the dead on the third day, and He is at the right hand of God interceding for us. (Revelation 1:8; Hebrews 1:3)

The Salvation of Man

Man’s only hope of redemption is through the shed blood of Jesus Christ. On the cross Jesus Christ became sin and sickness providing both salvation and divine healing for all mankind (Psalm 103:3), being justified freely by His Grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus. For by grace we are saved through faith. "The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart--that is, the word of faith which we are preaching, that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved; for with the heart man believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation"(Romans 3:24; Ephesians 2:8; Romans 10:8-10). Salvation is by faith in Jesus Christ and not by human works; even so faith, if it has not works, it is dead being alone but we show our faith by our works (Romans 10:9-1 James 2:17-18).

The Fall of Man

(Genesis 1:26-27, 2:17, 3:6; Romans 5:12-19) We believe that humankind is created in the image of God. As such, we were designed to be representatives for God on the earth. However, we believe that all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. We believe that unconditional love, unlimited forgiveness, and undying hope are found in Jesus Christ - the one and only mediator between God and man.

The Lord's Supper

And when He had given thanks, He broke it, and said, 'This is my body which is for you. Do this in remembrance of me.' In the same way also the cup, after supper, saying, 'This cup is the new covenant in my blood, Do this, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of me.' Let a man examine himself, and so eat of the bread and drink of the cup" (1 Cor. 11:24; 25, 28).

Baptism in Water

The ordinance of baptism by a burial with Christ should be observed as commanded in the Scriptures by all who have really repented and in their hearts have truly believed on Christ as Savior and Lord. In so doing, they declare to the world that they have died with Jesus and that they have also been raised with Him to walk in newness of life. (Matt. 28:19; Acts 10:47, 48; Romans 6:4).

Baptism of Holy Spirit

Given at Pentecost, we believe the baptism in the Holy Spirit is the promise of the Father available to all Christians. The Holy Spirit was sent by Jesus after His Ascension to empower the Church to preach the gospel throughout the whole earth. In scripture the Baptism in the Holy Spirit is accompanied by speaking in tongues (unknown). (Acts 1:4-8; 2:1-4; John 14:15-17).

The Evidence of the Baptism in the Holy Spirit

The full consummation of the Baptism of believers in the Holy Spirit is evidenced by the initial physical sign of speaking with other tongues as the Spirit gives utterance, and by the subsequent manifestation of spiritual power in public testimony and service (Acts 2:4; 10:44-46; 19:2, 6; 1:8).

Sanctification

The act of separation from that which is evil and dedicating oneself to God and that which is good, upright, and morally pure. (Romans 12:1, 2; 1 Peter 1:16; Hebrews 12:14).

The Ministry

A divinely called and scripturally ordained minister has been provided by God to lead the church in evangelization, worship, building the body, and general leadership of the church. (Mark 16:15-20; John 4:23-24; Ephesians 4:11, 16).

The Church and Its Mission

The church is the body of Christ, the habitation of God through the Spirit, with divine appointments for the fulfillment of her Great Commission. Each believer, born of the Spirit, is an integral part of the general assembly and church of the firstborn, which are written in Heaven (Ephesians 1:22; 2:19-22; Hebrews 12:23 Matthew 28:19; Luke 19:10).

Divine Healing

Is provided for today by the Scriptures and included in the atonement for our sins. (Isaiah 53:4-5; Matthew 8:16-17; James 5:14-16).

The Blessed Hope and Second Coming

The resurrection and rapture of all Christians dead and alive to meet Christ in the air is the Blessed Hope. The Second Coming of Christ includes the rapture and a return to earth by Christ with His saints for a thousand-year reign. (Romans 8:23; 1 Corinthians 15:51-52; Zechariah 14:5; Matthew24:17, 30).

The Final Judgment.

There will be a final judgment at which all men will be judged. (Matthew 25:46; Mark 9:43-48; Revelation 19:20).

The New Heaven and Earth

All of God's children will reign forever in a new heaven
and a new earth. (2 Peter 3:13; Revelation 21, 22).

Children Ministry

But Jesus called them unto him, and said, suffer little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God. All children ministry workers are required to conduct a background check to ensure the safety of our children.  Train up a child in the way he should go and when he is old he will not depart from it. (Luk. 18:16, Mrk 9:42, Luk 17:2, Pro. 22:6).

Belief on Marriage

Kingdom of God Empowerment Center, Inc. (known as “the
church”) believes that marriage is the union of one man (husband) and one woman (wife) through a sacred covenant designed by God to be a lifelong relationship and commitment between a husband and a wife. We believe that in the covenant of marriage between one woman (wife) and one man (husband), there is procreation,
union, and mutual delight in devotion to God. Kingdom of God Empowerment Center, Inc. (known as “the church’) will teach and uphold God's marriage design as found in the Scriptures, but we also seek to minister to those who suffer the consequences of its brokenness. We also affirm that we are called to minister to all who fall short of God’s standards with love, compassion and grace. (Genesis 1:27, Hebrews 13:4, I Corinthians 7:35, Matthew 19:4-6)

We will officiate marriage ceremonies at in accordance to scripture unifying one man (husband) and one woman (wife).
